What is assessed during the evaluation?
To ensure the success of your ISO 50001 certification process, our assessments evaluate five key aspects of your energy management.
1. Your Energy Strategy
We are reviewing your energy policy and your current energy management structure: Have reduction targets already been set? Is there a 3- to 5-year roadmap? Are energy efficiency considerations incorporated into all job descriptions? Has a manager been designated to oversee energy-related issues?
2. Planning Your Approach
In this section, we focus on compliance with current regulations and the analysis of your energy consumption (consumption by equipment, mapping of consumption and losses, energy training).
We also analyze the existing action plan: Are the projects properly listed and prioritized over time? Have they been incorporated into the Capex classification? What about the quantitative indicators (k€/year, MWh/year,tCO2 eq.)? Have intermediate targets for reducing energy consumption in MWh or metric tons ofCO2ebeen properly identified?
3. Implementation of Energy Efficiency Measures
For example, we will ask ourselves the following questions: How are results communicated to employees? How are energy competencies integrated into each function? Is a Total Cost of Ownership approach in place? How is energy performance integrated into operational decisions? We strive to maintain momentum to implement recommendations across various areas simultaneously: skills development, awareness-raising, communication, operational procedures, procurement, design, and investments.
4. Your Energy Efficiency
We help you structure your approach to measuring, monitoring, and analyzing your energy consumption, and verify that your goals are actually being met. For example, we’ll ensure that energy performance is monitored at every level of your facility (executive leadership, management, and operators) and track key performance indicators. The goal: to be able to identify and understand where you’re performing well and where consumption deviations are occurring.
